Garlic Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound of Brussels sprouts cut in half
  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil can use grapeseed oil too but the coconut adds delicious flavour
  • ½ c slivered almonds
  • 3 cloves garlic finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • In a steamer, lightly steam Brussels sprouts, about 8-10 minutes, drain and set aside
  • On medium heat, melt coconut oil in a saucepan. Add almonds and garlic. Saute until golden brown
  • Add steamed Brussels sprouts and stir for about 1-2 minutes
  • Season with a little salt and pepper if desired, serve warm
